Houshang Nahavandi, minister of development and housing (1964-68/1342-47), chancellor of Pahlavi University (1968-71/1347-50), chancellor of Tehran University (1971-76/1350-55), chief of Shahbanu Farah’s Secretariat (1976-78/1355-57), minister of science and higher education (1978/1357), arrested by the Bakhtiar government, escaped from prison and took up residence in Paris (1979/1357).
