When he gave his life to Christ, he won many souls to the kingdom. He was always talking about Christ. As a matter of fact, that zeal was what took him to over nations and that was what rubbed off on me. I love to speak about Jesus Christ. That was all I learnt from him. As a husband at home, he loved me and I did the same. We travelled together and enjoyed our company. I was satisfied carrying his Bible everywhere and each time he praised me on the pulpit, I smiled. It was always illuminating sitting under his ministration. He was a good father to the children. I found in him a friend, brother, husband, confidant, all rolled into one man. Everything a woman would expect from a man, he had it all. Every moment with him was exciting. However, one of the most exciting sessions with him was when he was preaching the word of God. He preached the gospel each time as if there was no tomorrow. Sometimes, he would shed tears in the process because of his passion and his desire to be very detailed in his communication. Another exciting moment was when he was at home. I would say, “Honey, you are now my husband, you are Benson Idahosa. Please for a moment, suspend the toga of a Reverend or Archbishop. It is just me, you and the children.” He would tell the children, “Look, when I am talking with my wife, I don’t want any interruption.” Yes, we had differences occasionally, but they were resolved amicably. My husband would always remind me of the scriptural injunction that we must not allow the sun to come down on our wrath. It was fun, relating with him.”
